mdsortmaildir sort

mdsort [-dnv] [-D macro=value] [-f file] [-]

The mdsort utility moves messages from one maildir to another according to a set of rules expressed in the mdsort.conf(5) format.

The options are as follows:

macro=value
Define macro to be set to value. Overrides the definition of macro in the configuration file.
Dry run, output which messages would be moved with respect to the current rules.
file
Specify an alternative configuration file.
Check if the configuration file is valid.
Verbose mode. Multiple -v options increases the verbosity.
-
Read message from stdin.

Path in which to temporarily store a message read from stdin.

~/.mdsort.conf
The default configuration file.

The mdsort utility exits 0 on success, and >0 if an error occurs.
